OUR MISSION

Does it sometimes feel like you’re reading the same book over and over, even when it has a different author or a different title? Does it ever seem like only a very small minority of voices and perspectives are being written about, while the majority of regular people in America are rarely represented in literature at all?

Though we are primarily looking for Jewish authors who are having problems publishing their books traditionally, we are also seeking out any and all other unique voices, told from any perspective. You don't have to have a million followers on social media. You don't have to have an MFA. You don't have to agree with every popular political viewpoint that makes its way through the news cycle. You can be religious; you can be conservative; you can be independent. You can be anything you want, except a bad writer. We just want to publish good literature, no matter what the background, identity or political viewpoint of its author might be.

 

In the former Soviet Union, Jews were treated as second-class citizens, and only certain people were allowed to voice their opinions. Everyone else was forced to stay silent.

The U.S. is not the U.S.S.R. Not yet. Our aim is to help keep it that way.
